Arrived a bit late (10:15) and met up with J.... Checked out his new wheels and then got round to checking the wind strength. People were on the plane, but as we unloaded they were dropping of the plane and coming in.

Rigged biggish (Phoenix and Craze 6.7) and realised we had matching kit...time for a 'formula race'

As we went to launch (11knots) it dropped even further (5 knots) and the first session was just an excuse to get a diary entry.

Waited round for ages and eventually saw the wind rise back to 11 knots. Went back out and made some headway...nearly got planing twice, but it never really got exciting. the wind then dropped again and we went in.

JaneBo had a quick go, but even with 5 stone less, there was never any chance of getting going... :-(

Seem to have missed all the good summer winds :-(
Hope to get a good session soon...and also hope to understand looking after a baby whilst the weather is poor/good (now realise that that I want good strong winds with clear blue sky and sunshine........like thats going to happen a lot!).

Three stars coz we managed to get out and look after a baby...but need a planing day soon otherwise the star rating will plumet again!
